i saw this guy last thursday. i didn't know anything about him or what quite to expect when i got my ticket.. i just thought it sounded interesting from the writeup i saw. well, it turned out to be one of the most amazing and unique live performances i've ever been to. he's a one-man show, performing on this crazy-ass instrument he invented which he calls 'the magic pipe', as well as an array of other percussive bits and gadgets (including a cowboy boot). the range of sounds and beats he was busting out live was just mesmerising. you can look him up on youtube to get a sense of what he does, but it's nothing like seeing him in the flesh. go check him out if you get the chance!
